Roadtrip Blog from Timbo's 84 Scirocco
Today we went to a salvage yard in North Denver. Lots of good stuff!
We pulled the LONG battery cables out of two different e30 BMWs – and there were more there.
We got an oil cooler setup from a Volvo turbo.
There were a few interesting VAG cars there, including many Audis – even an Audi V8.

I took a trip through Garden of the Gods. This is why Colorado is called Color-rado (red)
Went to A1 U-pull-U-pay in Colorado Springs. Lots of neat stuff there. Most of it is rust free…
Woodland Park, Colorado. The view of Pikes Peak is different here than it is from Divide, which is also different from the view in Colorado Springs. During the 48 State trip, I am going to drive my Scirocco up to the top on the Pikes Peak Highway.
There are many tuned Diesel trucks around here. This one parked next to me for comical effect.

There’s pictures of the AIr Force Academy, The Garden of the Gods, the roads, the fancy Wal-Mart they built in my Hometown, Woodland Park, and the view from my parent’s house.
Yep. I’m here! My parent’s house is in Divide, Colorado, but I’m posting from here because this is the last Cell service – there’s none in Divide. I’ll assess the Scirocco tomorow, and take a drive into town to post some pics!!
Wow! I’ve been here since, what – 2:45 PM? The flight was scheduled to leave at 6:10. It’ s 9:51 now. The plane is estimated to leave at 10:30 _IF_ a driver with a part for the plane gets here from Washington DC in the next 9 minutes.
Being that the delay is more than 4 hours, we will see how Rule 240 works in practice! But there’s one problem with that. There’s no more flights to Denver tonight, and the next flight is also Frontier Airlines – at 8:00 AM tomorow. (there’s a United plane at 8:03 too)
