Today, we flew south to Lunken Airport to meet up at the Sky Galley resturant in the old terminal.

We flew to Lima, OH to pick up a 16v cylinder head which I will deliver to Karl in Colorado.
Cathy Boyko signed my hood, and she made a special-edition PURPLE thumbtack for where she lives in Canadia!

Last night went to the REAL Crispie Creme Donut store in Chillicothe, OH.
Today, we flew in Daun’s Cessna 172 to Urbana, OH to have breakfast. On the way, we saw Dayton, OH, and the Air Force Air and Space Museum. We met friends at Urbana, OH. We flew in formation out of there. From the air we saw the F-16s parked at Springfield-Beckley.
Then we rode in Daun’s Mk1 Scirocco to a flea market, and I bought a thermoelectric cooler for $20. Maybe that will keep me from having to carry 40lbs of Ice!!
Next, we returned to the airport at Clinton County, and saw the Ohio Highway Patrol aircraft – the one on the signs marked “Speed enforced from aircraft”. We flew back in a tail dragger Cessna 180.
Next: we fly a Piper Arrow.

53 is the chasis code of the Scirocco. 53A is the Mk1 Scirocco (1975-1981) and 53B is for the Mk2 (1982-1988)

My car and a Bridge!
Internet is slow here. Verizon’s wireless barely works, it roams, and it connects slow and not at all. Luckily, the hotels here have wireless spilling over into nearby parking lots!
I filled up with 6.171 Gallons after 202.2 Miles – so that means I got about 32.76 MPG on that last tank! Not bad, CIS!!
It’s 06:45. Here I come, Kansas!
I’m leaving on I-70 east. The sun rises at 5:35 am, it’s 5:04 right now. I’ll be out of the metro area FAR before rush traffic.
I’ll be postin’ at every fuel stop! Muahahaha!
I took a quick trip tonight up to Loveland, CO to see Karl Krupke – a local Scirocco nut! We had dinner at Old Chicago…
Bwahahahah! This yard is a U-Pull-and-Pay in Aurora, near Zeno and Colfax.
This yard didn’t have too much. Two Cabriolets, a bunch of Mk2 Jettas, two aircooled VWs, and a Toyota “Audi 5000″
Trying to fix the Dasher’s megasquirt problems. After a day of tinkering, it does run… Not perfect yet though.
